I agree with TimA. Why?

1. Introducing a monthly FA draft will reduce the impetus to trade. Why trade when I can draft to plug a hole?

2. It will reduce the importance of BOTH the rookie draft AND the free agent draft. As it stands, Hinske still remains free and many of us will be salavating over Christmas thinking about him (playing on our teams that is).

3. In the majors you don't have this huge pool of "free agent" talent just floating about every month. It only happens once a year, at the end of the year.

4. It forces you to draft smart. You MUST ensure you have a complete team at the beginning of the year that will last the year. You can't draft with the knowledge that if you become short at a position you can just pick someone up to fill the position.

I understand why the real time leagues require the draft (because of the nature of the league you could wind up with a lot of injured players/player not playing) but it isn't the same to TRAD leagues. I would not like to see monthly FA drafts at all. Would remove all the fun of te off season for me.
