Having been previously used this board to arouse unspoken discontent, I now want to praise Mike's ideas and attitudes, which may yet make this a thriving, vibrant game site.

I can deal with a lot of problems when I know that somebody is making the effort to deal with them. Mike, I read everything on this board and take great interest in how you have been seeking help and ideas, while at the same time explaining why some great ideas are not practical. A year ago, most of the posts were very negative, and rightfully so. It seemed to many of us that this site was dying dispite the value of the game. The recent flurry of ideas and volunteering is evidence of how much some people like this game. You've created a brainstorming atmosphere on this board.

I commend you, and your small cadre, on your dedication to long-term fixes. We've had great suggestions on this board to quickly fix some problems - foster teams, advertising, ... But you've explained your focus on better fixes even if they are further away. Cudos.

Finally, what triggered this gushing post is your most recent response to a "my way or I quit". A year ago, I strongly felt complaining was badly needed -- that you needed to hear that owners were frustrated by bad service because they really liked the game. I really dislike cutting to 20 teams just as Mik does -- but I really hate seeing this morning that I am now the only manager left in my division. But mostly, when you are being so open that compromises must be made, I have little patience for threats to quit. Its all about attitude.
