How I would be at throwing runners out... Hmmm...

seriously though, I was a pitcher turned outfielder when I played hardball, and I can remember having to catch one game when both our catchers were injured in a game. I only had to catch 3 innings, and it was an awful experience. You'd think it'd be easy to crouch back there - it sure as hell wasn't.

Two players made it to base against me, and both ended up on third through steals. On the first attempt I sailed the throw way into center field - and I was a junk pitcher whose main asset was accuracy (hence the move to the outfield ;P). Throwing from the crouch is not an easy thing to do. Then again, I'm no professional :D
