and I have everything to gain by going in reverse finishing order for the FA draft as my team is again in last place!

If you want to mimic real life, the FA draft should be from the best team to the worst (since the best team would have all the money to grab the free agents).

I think Random gives everyone a bit of excitement and can help poor teams as well.

The rookie draft is the only draft that should be in reverse order of standings - and the lottery should only include the worst FOUR teams (IMHO).
