"Commish" Duties

Posted By Tim A.

The primary duty for these positions Mike is creating is to monitor the active rosters of teams in the league and alert Mike when some team needs some modifications. The most common "modification" would probably be sending overused and injured players to the farm team and bringup up someone from the farm. I think another one could be if someone has All-Stars on the farm for an extended time (but that wasn't explicitly stated).

Essentially the position is a "watchdog" to look for irregularities on a teams active roster. Once the irregularity is brought to Mike's attention he would be the one to fix it.

(I think the point is Mike doesn't have time to look at all roster pages every week and he wants eyes out there looking to alert him to situations needing attention).

The only conflict of interest that would ever arise is if someone "conveniently" forgot to mention when a team upcoming on their schedule had an irregularity (thus giving them an advantage) while meticulously pointing out every irregularity that occurs with teams their archrivals are playing.

However, I would hope that the people taking these positions would have enough ethics about the position not to abuse in that way.
