You state that if PB = PB then everything is the same.

Then would you trade Barry Bonds (10 PB value) for

Mike Matheny (2.962)
Jack Wilson (2.024)
Jay Payton (2.087)
Chris Singleton (2.534)

Because the PB values are basically the same if you make this trade, and according to you that is all that matters.
