Sportsmanship VS Gamesmanship

Posted By Elminster

I know there are probably several people who do this, and I may upset a few. But here goes anyway.

There is a difference between sportsmanship and gamesmanship. I've just played back to back games where the same starting pitcher was announced. Until the "Match Up" page is available, this gives the road team an opportunity to pitch a lefty, have the home team make out its lineup, and then find out a righty is pitching. To me, this is not gamesmanship. This is poor sportsmanship. YES, I know we should all go to our opponents page and check the status... yadda yadda yadda...

I can't believe I'm alone in not checking each and every game to make sure our opponent is not intentionally doing things to put themselves at (what I perceive) as an unfair advantage.

C'mon guys. Put a little effort in, and at least attempt to get it right. I do for each game for all my teams (11 and counting). If I can, you can too. I know Dwight has several teams, and I feel confident he tries to "get it right" when he has road games.

Just an opinion, and comments are welcome...
