Irony

Posted By Fred Cline

You attack Bonds based on quotes and soundbites, and make conclusions about him to the point you are happy he is unhappy. I assume you never met him and wouldn't say such things to him directly.

Someone attacks you based on your quotes and soundbites, and draws conclusions about you, even though they have never met you, and you can't understand when people became less civil.

That's called irony.

In the discussion on the FA draft, instead of just discussing the merits back and forth, you made the statement that I obviously had never rebuilt a team or had a poor club. You might want to check out the team I took over a couple of years ago in Trad 1 98 - now Baradur, was Salina. Or my current Real Time 1 99 team, Timbavati, which has a PB value of 40.

In other words, you came to conclusions about me that were off base.

As for self-centeredness, if someone were to ask you in this forum how you felt about coming in last again with Port Huron in W9, would you find the question annoying, or would you answer with some platitudes?

Given that you took umbrage when I suggested managers are responsible for a team constantly losing, I suspect your response might be more Bonds like than your concocted quote.

Not trying to pick on you Rob, I just think that when people post strong opinions on a message board, you can't complain about strong disagreement.
