I'm attempting to spread the word about how much
better "Simulation" sports are than the Roto
or videogame genres. I have a Playstation 2
and Network Adapter so I've been involved with
playing the Madden Football online. The biggest
complaint is the "cheesing" and cheating that
goes on during these games. They want REAL
football! The problem is that they have TOO
much control over the players. It needs to be
more of a "coaching only" type of play...like
our Purebaseball! If I can get these people
interested and start a league the word may
spread about Simball. When the spring comes
I'll do the same with the baseball games that
go online through PS2. What I need from you
people is to go to the EA site and sign up
(if you haven't already done so) and go to
the Madden bulletin board to find my message
about starting up my new league. Whether you
have a PS2 or not I just need you to post a
reply to my message either saying you're
interested or you think it is a great idea!
Everytime my post gets a reply I go back to the
top of the "Updated" post list and the more
replies I get the higher up I go on the "Popular"
post list. This will keep attention on my post

Either draw the people more interested in "simming"
than all the graphics over to our side OR maybe even
someday the PB game can be introduced to one of these
POPULAR graphics based games to create a new breed of
game. One of dreamed of for a decade. Some of you
"Founders" out there may remember how I always wanted
the little men running around the bases instead of
the Atari 2600 graphics we have now. Imagine having
Mike's Purebaseball simulation game intertwined with
some of the best graphics available! I'm starting to
salivate on myself. Anyway, to give you a look at

I know most Madden players want to have control of the players and do it themselves. Those are what you call "Videogamers"...they're excellent at what they do but is it REAL football? I think whoever is highly skilled at using their controller will be the one who wins if football knowledge is equal. There is an underground of player who want a "COACHING ONLY" league and I'm looking for them! You can call all the plays but you can't take control of the players. Pick the play, hike the ball and watch. You ARE allowed to shift your lineman, linebackers and call coverage audibles. You ARE allowed to call for offensive audibles and send men in motion. You ARE allowed to kick and punt using the "red arrow" but under NO circumstances are you to take control of a player! Yes, I know the AI stinks but it will be that way for BOTH sides so it's even.
