I don't understand
What measurement is it that drives down his range? What is it that tells PB that Hunter has poor range? He got to more balls than did Finley, and I thought the Zone rating was a measure of the percentage of balls hit to his area that a guy gets to. Is there some other stat that measures range?
This issue came in last Spring re Minky; but in that case the stats showed that he gets to fewer balls despite his reputation. But with Hunter, I'm missing something. Were there really so many hits to baggy-dome CF that a very-low range Hunter caught more balls than great-range Finley?
I'm not arguing here; in fact I find the analyses in PB facinating. That's why I'm asking.
