Huh? You then go on to point out some CF s who have solid defensive reputations, and the fact that they got good defensqive ratings, as proof that your math works.

My question is, isn't the job of the outfielder to catch the balls that ARE hit to him? Shouldn't Tori Hunter's doing a better job with the balls hit to him than a different CF get him a better rating? Finally, isn't it possible that you made a mistake and need to look at your math again on this? If not, would you enlighten me by posting the specifics of the equation you use, so at least I'm in on the joke?
