Range is determined by combining (50% value each) the STATS zone rating and chances per inning played after taking account of the pitching staff's strikeout rate and GB/FB rating.

Using this method, Hunter gets a bad rating. The point I made earlier was that, were the math incorrect then Steve Finley and Andruw Jones would fall short on a regular basis but they consistently get good ratings.

APBA and SOM and most other SIMS use subjective defensive ratings based mostly on visual evidence. PB is a statistical simulation and we live and die with the statistical evidence.
