I think Mike has put a lot of thought into this and some of what I've read below will surely be addressed by him. That said, I believe that without contraction PB is in danger of going under as in more and more loss of interest. If nothing else, the contraction draft will perk up the leagues.

Mike, be sure to email managers in these league several weeks before the contraction draft. Some don't read the posts during the winter months.
