Opinion
1. Eliminate consideration of 2002 wins and use PB only to determine draft order.
2. Use the same draft order in every round rather than the serpentine method.
My views
1. I think using last year's win totals has no place in the contraction draft - that's what the rookie draft is for. The current scheme would unfairly benefit teams who were rebuilding last year and are at the point where they can compete. Instead of drafting 16th, they'd be drafting 5th. For this draft, that can be the difference between a stud and a bench player. And conversely, teams that "went for it" last year and made trades are unfairly penalized. They may not have made some of those trades.
2. I agree with Jon. Having the serpentine allows the top drafting teams to get a stud and one or two other players, and the low drafting teams to get a couple players as well.
