The problem identified by Mike certainly does exist, but it is accompanied by a timeout message. (I have had my share!)

However, I have also received an SQL error without a timeout when not providing the time information. Unfortunately, I didn't note the exact text, but if I recall, it had something to do with out-of-range variable, which is a typical SQL error when it can't find a required range or subscript.
