patting myself on the back cuz i iknow the 3 card monty
i have been playing this game for about 5 yrs. with varied success. i am a guy who likes to pick up abandoned teams and try and rebuild them. this is probably the most difficult task of them all. from my screen i see that the rich get richer in much the same way teams did before free agency. also the competition's preparation or lack of it plays a larger role in continued success than the winning owners "preparation" look at the rosters of the following teams(Lima locos C16, D'ville B10 or how about the farmington fightin illini in pb 98 trad 2) please take the time to look at these rosters before responding to this missive. ask yourself. did these rosters occur due to planning or the rest of the league running around with their heads up their cula. wonder what owners sold out the rest of the league to move a veteran or to get draft picks . once is ok but some teams have gathered 3 or 4 superstars for draft picks and young players. the other owners were not interested in competitive balance. not unlike the real game if the league office doesn't enforce it chicanery and trading w/ the uninformed is ALSO a large part of the repeat winner syndrome
