Patting Myself

Posted By Tim Shine

I doubt if anyone currently in the PB arena has taken on as many teams as I have. Most of these teams (dating back to the old CSN days) were rebuilding projects. Never have I had anything handed to me on a "silver platter"; therefore I question this post.

Taking over a team in PB falls into several categories, 1) a top notch team that someone has dropped and you are lucky enough to get it - you can only screw that onw up and I have; 2) the declining team that may or may not have had a manager for several year - your in trouble here; and 3) the absolute bottom - no manager for several years or one who didn't care.

I contend that if you are picking a team up in either category 2) or 3) as I have presented them above you have lots of work with little prospect of making the palyoffs soon - of course there are exceptions.
