question about pb values

Can anyone explain to me, in laymans terms, the reasoning behind the following pitchers stats and the PB value?
w-l ERA G/GS IP H R/ER HR BB/K LOP/ROPS
Sele 8-9 4.89 26/26 160 190 92/87 21 49/82 826/792
PB value = 1.932
Lawrence 12-12 3.69 35/31 210 97/86 16 52/149 810/637 PB value 1.654
