This is what I am talking about
Craig talks about outsiders looking in at teams in a league and seeing serious lack of balance and PB loses credibility to those outsiders. They won't join up as a result.
As for any deal, taste are so different that it is hard to legislate deals, The long term should be evaluated more when deciding if a deal is detrimental to competitive balance in a league. I am talking about trad leagues. I have seen "rebuilding" teams trade a young star for an old one. That hurts the league if the young star is going to the better teams. I am talking about say trading Tejada for Maddux. Put what ever players suit your fancy to make that deal even, but why is a rebuilding team allowed to trade a young stud for old ones?
Maybe nothing can be done about something like that, but it has been pet peeve for quite some time to see deals like this go through.
