Two points

Marshall,

1) I wasn't saying that anyone who was whining/complaining wouldn't be missed. It's important to bring these issues up and give everyone a chance to discuss them. I was saying that anyone who looks at a PB sim with a working PB cap, lower roster retention numbers and whatever other ideas we generate to make it harder on dynasties and decides that they still won't join because some teams are very strong won't be missed. The people who play PB look at this and feel that they can take a bad team and make it great in a few years.

2) I think the biggest difference between MLB and the NFL is that the owners and commissioner in the NFL don't kick the crap out of their own product in public every chance they get. The salary cap situation in the NFL is indecipherable to almost everyone and seems to ensure that teams cannot stay together for more than a few years. This leads to huge roster turnover rates that if they occurred in MLB would have Budzilla and other baseball bashers wringing their hands and rending garments. The 49ers went for it and then had to cut loose Jerry Rice to pay for it later. Can you imagine the howling if the Padres had to cut Gwynn after their 1998 series run?
I'm a Yankee fan and I can tell you that the latest Dynasty could've easily been one title not four if not for a few extremely lucky breaks and a few clutch hits.
