Of all the ideas mentioned for competitive balance I think that dropping from 27 to 24 is the least desirable.

I personally prefer the idea of ordering the Free Agent draft in a way that helps the weaker teams. But if that is not an option then a lower cap is probably a more attractive option than a smaller roster.

A long term plan is what its all about. When I was involved in losing seasons (I had many of them a couple years ago when I was rebuilding several teams) I always took pride in my teams because I liked the vision I saw for the long term.

I'm in the process of a tear down and rebuild in F18 and may face one in K15 in 3 more years when Bagwell, Piazza, and Giles get old at the same time. But with more roster size available it will once again help with creating a future vision.
