Jon, I've got a lot of respect for your baseball/GM knowledge but your wrong here (also, contending that people with a differing opinion are just stupid is a nice tactic). You're obviously aware of excellent athletes such as Michael Barrett, Brandon Inge and Joe Lawrence who were switched to catcher after being drafted. They worked long & hard to become competent to good catchers with varying results. To contend that you could just take an infielder, hand him the equioment and say "go catch" and have him be good is ignorance.
Yes, good athletes can move around the infield and outfield and not embarass themselves( but they will be way below average in almost every case) but asking a non-catcher to catch in the majors is a recipe for disaster.
