There has been quite a bit of talk in regards to "Tanking" and whether it is right or not. Unfortunately, the system pays for the "Tanker." The solution is simple if we want to stop "tanking." All we need to do is have all non-playoff teams in the lottery thus reducing the benefit to tanking. Some would be opposed but I think an even further step of making it so every team that did not make the playoffs has an even shot at the #1 pick instead of this lottery business would eliminate tanking all-together.
