The idea of trading a player for a FA or Rookie pick in order to meet some pre-existing artbitrary percentage may in fact promote the perpetuation of the 'haves' and 'have-nots'. By ensuring I get an increase in status regarding draft while giving up immediate help to a sruggling team, I will be able to afford to carry excellent (but injured) players (having no PB value) that will return next year, and draft young players that have an opportunity to become studs as my older established players fade. While I apllaud the efforts being made to install some balance, and hopefully, a a more enjoyable, successful league, I think loss of a player is the only way to accomplish that.
