My preference would be for a system that would be a first come first serve waiver wire rather than a monthly draft event. This would be something checked at the conclusion of games on Tuesday so that players awarded could be immediately used in away instructions or plans for the following home series. Teams picking up a player would have to offer a corresponding cut. The Commish would have to continue to “fix” neglected and unmanaged teams with players from the pool but the waiver system would reward vigilant managers with players better suited to their needs than the arbitrary commish award system now in place.
