I enjoy Purebaseball alot because it's not predictable (like APBA, OOTP, Diamondmind, etc). It's not a replay league, and I don't think it ever will be. If we start having defensive usage, it's going to take alot of the game away from the home manager, and place more importance on being a paper champion.

I think the defensive system in place works just fine, with the exception of non-rated catchers being too good. Everything else should be left alone.

Marrero is primarily a catcher, and would be a full time catcher if Drew were healthy and Matheny wasn't in the picture. He'll probably always get some time behind the plate in the near future, and a Purebaseball manager should be given the flexability to use him at whatever position he's rated for (even using him full time at the less played position).
