Biggio @ 3B is not the same as Glaus @ SS.

Biggio had all of those errors for you because he wasn't rated at the position.

Glaus did play the position in real life, so he had a rating (a very low one, but it was a rating none the less).

As for his Gold Glove defense in the leagues you mention, I can only chalk that up to small sample size. When you think about it, SS and 3B really aren't that different. It takes most of the same skills to play both positions. Quicker reflexes for 3B, more speed and range for SS...but scooping up a grounder and throwing to 1B requires the same inherent skill at both positions.

Outside of the catching situation, I think the system works fine as-is and should be left alone.
