You're operating under the misconception tnat the only reason for comtraction is 'Parity'. I believe when this whole thread of contraction started the intial league nominated for contraction was a real-time team.The reason: 7 dead teams in a 24 team league, flagging interest, inabilty to generate player movement, and the very real risk of further loss of ownership due to frustration.

'Parity' is the Johnnie-come-lately reason for contraction as far as I'm concerned, and, an illusion I'm afraid (good owners will continue to win, hamstrung by rules or not), and far less compelling than promoting interest.
