You gave one example. That is small sample size.

As for your last statement, it's completely false:

"just like it does for hitters with limited stats. If you have a hitter with only 7 at bats but who hit 3 HR in those 7 at bats, he will be given ZERO plate appearances with his actual stats and gets innocuous pitcher-type stats."

That is absolutely untrue, check the game manual. INN has to do with players who performed below a certain level. If a hitter had 3 HR in 7 AB's, he would be a stud, for about 3 games and then turn into a below average player...but for those 3 games, he would play at a high level of skill.
