Back To Board

Wrong again

No...

One of us did read the manual. Here is the QUOTE and I have had this happen to my players so it IS in the game...

" Low Plate Appearance Factor: If a player or pitcher has less than 10 plate appearances versus either left-handed or right-handed pitching, his actual performance will not be followed in the game. He will be assigned performance criteria which is below average major league offensive production for his position."

A very good rule in my opinion.

Also, this is not small sample size and I did NOT just give one example. I mentioned I had done this 2 years running with similar results. I only posted the stats for this year, but if you want last year, I can look through my old e-mails and find the stats as I e-mailed them to the COMMISH last year suggesting this shouldn't be the case. Incidentally, Glaus also did well at SS 3 the 3rd year, in fact, it was a post to this board about Glaus doing well at SS that got me started using him there. Then I watched to see if he hurt me defensively...not that I can tell in 3 (THREE) seasons. I think if you read my post you'll see he was also a 1 last year...I forget his grade 2 years ago.

In addition, my post was an additon to the post Erle made about Glaus in 2000 RT1.

...and in addition...over 800 innings just for MY use THIS year is NOT a small sample size.

Sweeney's playing catcher in 4 games shouldn't make him available to play catcher as his regular postion either. This is a hole in the game's SIMulation that needs to be repaired.
