Please read - Notes on rule changes and Pure Baseball
Thanks for the input from everyone. The more we stay involved, the greater chance this game will improve.
1) Remember that all rule changes won't go into effect until next year. You will have a year to modify your roster, if need be.
2) PB values are being looked at and will most probably be modified to give a better indicator of team strength.
There will always be certain players that don't seem right, but remember to take into account ball park factors, as well as AL-NL.
A good example is Russ and Ramon Ortiz (I have both on my roster). Russ is in NL plus Giant stadium, and is thus punished, while Ramon is in AL and Anaheim, where he is helped.
Even then, you may disagree on certain players, but we are talking about 750 players, so everything usually evens out in the long run.
3) All rules in the future can be modified if certain changes appear to dramatic.
4) Everyone can vote anyway they want, but I hope most of you vote for the overall strength of the league, not just your individual team.
I vote the way I due because I personally want changes made that help weaker teams because it will make it even more of a challenge for me to keep up my strong teams and to win World Series.
Someone that has a lot of time, lives and breaths baseball, and knows the ins and outs of the game will always be good, no matter what limitations are put on them. So we help out the lesser teams, making it easier for them to rebuild, which keeps their interest in the game, and at same time makes the game more challenging for us.
5) These changes are for traditional leagues, real time leagues are completely different (I urge everyone to try at least one team of each type, they are great fun in different ways)
Thanks guys.
