What is the deal with all the bad draft lists? Is it really that hard to pay attention to what is happening with players and their movements?

My launch draft just completed and the following were drafted, some in 1st Rnd.: A. Gallaraga, M. Alou, J. Carter, M. Morris, K. Wood, and M. Morris. All of them we knew about injury or retirement long before the draft! Do people just feel like wasting a pick? And who puts M. Grudzelanek so high to draft them #23 overall, and F. Thomas goes #93 overall?

A parralel Q -- Why would anyone place M. Tucker and S. Finley on Farm list, with O. Palmeiro, D. Buford, G. Williams, R. Amaral all ahead of those two on the roster? Common sense people!

Or am I missing something?
