Their injuries don't matter... retirements don't matter... nothing matters except the current season's stats! You don't carry players over into next season so who cares if Kerry Wood pitches in 1999 or even 2000. The only fact that matters in your launch league is the he pitched in 1998, the season on which your launch league is based.

Sounds more like you had the bad draft list, and not the other owners in your league.
