I have NO problem with blockbuster trades. I traded Nomar for Pedro. I agree, the roll of the dice offers spice. But all too frequesntly we see the trade that seems engineered to obfuscate the discrency in talent, the trade where one of the participants ( THE SHARK) can point to a PB balance and say, "the trade is balanced." When in reality marginal or players on the downward slide are exchanged for stars. I am a firm believer in giving 3 nickels for a dime; the idea being the dime can make a differnce but you can find a nickel anywhere. I have trouble when one person gives up his pocket change and ends up with silver dollars.
