I agree that could happen - but why not actually have your paying customers get priority? Why have some terrible team with no owner get a top prospect?

After the first few key picks its pretty subjective anyway - what I dislike is when in the lower rounds the unmanaged list is making more sophisticated long-term picks than many managed teams, but still leaving the unmanaged team with gaping holes in their lineup, so the team will still be terrible going into the season.
