save the needy not the greedy
good points. i know for me the knowledge i have of baseball (member since 1968) made me aware of the TYPE of team it takes to win. i owned the griswold wolverines and they made the playoffs the first year with marty cordova leading the way. i am a speed and pitching guy from waaaaaaaay back. how that strategy fits in this arena has taken some time. i made no complaints about getting ripped off. when i became aware of how the game goes i then made noises. guys just don't get it. watch this. you all can not know who this guy is unless he speaks out since the trade never happened. but how can one in all seriuosness in any league hindsight foresight offer tim salmon and wifredo cordero for jacque jones. now when i first started playing i would have jumped all over that deal..............the way the game is constructed. understanding what value is in a rookie draft this takes time. i have gutted griswold and thanks to not just contraction but an overall better vision where i am trying to go they are once again competitive.i lhave even become a foster parent taking woeful teams and attempting to bring them up the pomfret mucky mucks in pb200 was horrendous and they seem to be turning the corner in just 2 seasons. this is only from being more in tune with the mechanics of the game. however the human element is always there. i mean even curious george traded awaty mcgriff and mcgee (2 good irish ballplayers) for garbage.
