Back To Board

Still, Why?

Rob, your scenario of double-trading is plausable, and your fear justified. But none of your comparisons to the Scoresheet league apply. 1) There are hundreds (?) of Scoresheet leagues, and like PB, some guys play in several. 2) I do not know the guys in my league other than through emails. The only difference is that I applied to join the league by answering a listing on the message board - directly with the league commish rather than through the company. 3) The flux of managers exists. Although we typically only replace 1 or 2 per year.

I think that the greater contact between managers creates a better bond. With Scoresheet, that's all there is. The game is played more in the imagination. With PB, it takes some clicking around to even see the names of the other managers. There have been mulitiple threads about cheating in PB. I just don't understand the joy of the cheat.

Another interesting take though on your example, is that the trade is an obvious manipulation -- rather than a judgement call. That still suggests the Commish could back way off the current policy.
