My original post had nothing to do with how this year's FA draft looks from last year's. That is not the point of this thread.

I brought up the FACT that the draft list has not changed order since it was originally posted (and stated that "this isn't the final/actual order").

One more time, really slow this time people:

When they reset the leagues for the upcoming season (late January I believe), a dumby FA draft list gets posted in every league which clearly indicates at the top of the page that it is not the actual order...and the actual FA draft order will be finalized after the 27 man cut.

The reason why they do not indicate the actual draft order at that early time is that they want to discourage jockeying for FA draft order position through trades. Bravard made this very clear why he keeps the FA draft order random, and a mystery until after trades are locked.... he does not want teams trading up or down in the FA1 draft.

The order that we now see before us, is the same order that has been up for months (at least in the 4 leagues I'm involved with...all contraction leagues). Maybe something is different with the generation of FA draft order with contracted leagues? I dunno. John said he ran the draft order on Friday, but from the data I have the order did not change.
