Mike, I think you need to think about this situation a bit.

There is a credibility problem when one procedure is publicized as the rule, but then is not followed. It caused some confusion here as to what actually had happened, which wasted the time of all involved. Much like the often missed deadlines and schedules it calls into question how organized things are - was this "the plan" or a mistake?

More importantly, how do I know no one knew? You knew, and you play the game, and there are certainly owners you are more friendly with than others, and owners with many teams that pay a lot each month as well. I don't think there is a conflict, but there could be, and whenever there could be you need to make sure that things are down as they said they'd be done.

The FA draft order should have been re-run on the day specified.
