Although I do not agree with the tone necessarily of Fred's message and I certainly don't think any wrongs were purposely committed, there are questions about the way the draft order is arrived at. If the order did not change from before the order was officially listed to when it was officially listed, how random is that? True randomness would mean it would change every time the program is run. This program comes up with the same order each time. There is a legitimate question with this year's free agent draft order and how it was arrived at. Just saying that we don't know why the same team would come out picking first each time the "random" draft order generator is run isn't a good reason to just accept the order as listed. If the free agent draft is going to be advertised as randomly set, then we need it to randomly set. I think a little investigation into what happened was called for instead of going ahead with the orders as listed. We have had delays in drafts for far less important reasons in the past, why the rush all of a sudden?
