Here's an interesting question: For a team about to be down on its luck in the upcoming season, dealing Sammy or Mac would make some sense. You should be able to get a lot for these guys. After all, that's a lot of homers. But Mac is 35 (and somewhat injury prone in years past), and Sammy is 30 (not old, but not quite the young stud he once was). How much should a rebuilding team expect in return for Mac or Sammy? How much should a contender give to get one of these guys? What is "reasonable" in this context?
