A-Rod... a classless act...
Okay... forget the fact that A-Rod's 22 million per year is MORE than the ENTIRE salary of the Devil Rays...
Recently A-Rod belted his 300th homer - the youngest player ever to do so. Now, the yokel who caught the ball threw the ball back onto the field (probably not realizing its worth).
A-Rod has since admitted that he had a signed baseball, glove, bat, and jersey already prepared that he was going to use as "bribes" to the person who caught the ball to try to get the ball from him. A reported then mentioned how nice it was to get the ball, to which A-Rod agreed, and then a reporter asked if he would seek out the man who caught it to present him with the ball/bat etc... as a token. A-Rod responded quickly "No."
The guy makes 22 million a year and he won't part with a few signed artifacts?? Granted - he isn't required to be nice, but it would have been a magnanimous gesture.
Looks bad on you A-Rod... looks bad...
