INN players

Posted By RobG

I agree that all managers should fill out their team the best they can through the drafts. I know I've drafted INN players over players I really wanted in order to flush out my roster (did that this year with my catchers). I also understand that through injury and exhaustion that some team wind up in trouble.

Therefore, I propose the following:

1) If a team requests an INN player before the 50% mark of the season (80 games), then they MUST drop one player from their roster (at the MANAGER'S CHOICE) in order to add the help. The INN player would then become a member of the team and would stay on the roster at season's end.

2) If a team requests an INN player AFTER the 50% mark (game 81 and beyond) then the team can add one INN player free of charge to the team (no loss in players) with the UNDERSTANDING that at the end of the year the INN player RETURNS to free agency.

In BOTH cases MIKE is the one who will choose the INN player awarded. That way we ensure that no one "requests" an INN player that will become next year's Eric Hinske.
