They have been tinkering with the software to drop worn out players, and also looking at making sure two catchers are on rosters. This may be a result of this tinkering. Some bug that hadn't been noticed. Below is Mikes original post.


As of sometime late last season the program does not allow worn out players on the roster on THURSDAY before games are turned on. If the system finds a worn out player on the roster he is farmed and you play with 24. This was the easiest way to solve any lingering questions about worn out player/pitcher abuse.
