I appreciate this point of view.
I have tried to get people involved at various times and have actually suceeded in getting meaningful help---but too many times I run into a dead end---at a cost of time and effort.

Software development owes a lot to who did the original work and in what language/format? Much work and time has to be devoted to getting up to speed. Almost everyone has a day job and time and timing is always an issue? As much as people say they want to help I have found very few that actually deliver the goods without immediate cash renumeration. Precious few!

This is a community but the engineers that have stuck with me and have and will be willing to work extra hours to get something done, deserve a to participate in a profitable venture for their effort.

In other words, this is a business first but must depend on a certain level of community to survive.

I would like to do better job of answering this thread but this is the best I can come up with at this time. Please understand that I am in the heat of battle. Keeping baseball afloat is a MUST for me but it comes at a high cost.

The act of telling others about PB and encouraging them to participate is essential to the survival of the project. If you do not believe the game is worthy of introducing to your friends, then perhaps you need to revisit the reasons for participating yourself.
