A few clarifications:

1. This has nothing to do with delaying the season two weeks. The season is being delayed for other reasons. Having the rookie draft so soon after availing managers of the statistics was not smart. I need to be at my desktop during the drafts for many reasons and that is why there is a two week window between the drafts (my schedule). This window gave me the idea of providing a trading period. One of the biggest drawbacks of unmanaged teams is the inability to make trades with these teams. Since we o[pted agaisnt contraction to 20 teams, this seems like a step in the right direction.

2. I am working out the details with John Meredith about how to do this but if there is no easy programming solution, the trade offers will be made via email to the commish and players manually moved.

3. The timing of the trading period works because many unmanaged teams will be faced with duplicates at some positions with no players at others before the FA draft. Uneven roster trades are not a factor in RT because the monthly draft evens out rosters every month.

4. Details about how to make offers and when will be forthcoming.
