I like the idea. Good job. I think you should carry this over to traditional leagues as well (at least the trading deadline part for those leagues since they have started already).

Why not trade a 8 rated reliever for a #1 FA when said reliever sucks next year. Getting extra draft picks, young players, etc. in place of much older, have one good year left, type of players is sound management and will greatly help unmanaged teams, while at the same time increasing enjoyment for the rest of the league.
