Less Teams Would Be Better
In reading all those replies to contraction, maybe you guys should look at real baseball. Cincy, Pittsburg, beautiful new stadiums, not to many fans showing up. All thru baseball attendance is way down. You guys want realalism? Looks like you got it with a bunch a vacant teams in RT leagues. Just like poor attendance is the real world. Why? The major league product stinks. To many teams and not enough quality players to go around. Plain and simple. Detroit and Baltimore are loaded with players, many of them in the starting lineup, who have no business being at the major league level. Can any of you honestly say you can sit and watch 9 innings of those two teams on cable? If you say yes, I question your honesty. Many are starting. The starting pitching in baseball is a joke. Changing the leagues to 20 teams will not produce a bunch of super teams as one guy suggested. All it will do is get rid of a bunch of bums who hit .190 and are forced to play because of injuries, tired and worn out players.
