Love Good Baseball
13,000 people at the Brewers game on a Friday night. 17,000 at Tigers game? Both new stadiums. You call that good numbers? Looks like someone agrees with me. Your point about .190 hitters years ago, sure there were. But look at the pitchers they were facing. Mets has 3 or 4 number 1 starters by todays standards back in 69 and the early 70's. O's had 4 20 game winners on their staff in one year. Put those same guys against todays pitchers and they'd hit. Bigger and stronger? Sure. Better no. Feller still holds the record for fastest pitched ball in a game. 104 mph I believe. Give Mantle or Mays those special
pills and shots Sosa and Bonds takes and I love to see what they would have done.
