No, trades should still be fair

Posted By Fred Cline

I disagree, the deals still need to be balanced.

What's to keep me from offering my best players to an unmanaged team for marginal talent, have the deal go through, and then drop my old team and ask for the new one?

Its also not fair to the teams competing with the unmanaged team. Many of the unmanaged teams aren't that bad, and a good owner could rework into contention soon.

The first motivation in these deals should be to fill holes on the unmanaged team's roster and balance out the talent - trading from depth for areas of need. The next should be to get rid of flukey/platoon players that have value to a contending team and not to a rebuilding one that needs depth in many spots. The third should be to have at least 3 big names that can be listed on the available team page.

Any deal Mike would block if he wasn't involved should be rejected. If Mike feels he is the advocate for the unmanaged team, then someone else needs to review the deals as he would in the Commish role.
